FAQ
Which devices can I use?
Section titled “Which devices can I use?”Teloneum works in a web browser, and as an app on iOS and Android. Your conversations are kept with your account, not on the device, so you find them wherever you sign in.
Which models can I use?
Section titled “Which models can I use?”Any model listed under Ready when you choose a model. Each project offers only the providers and models the owners and administrators of your organisation chose for it, and you see only those: the model catalogue lists the models of your current project, and the ones you can talk to have a Chat button.
Why does a new project have no model?
Section titled “Why does a new project have no model?”A new project - including the first one of your organisation - offers no model until an owner or administrator of the organisation chooses which providers it may use. That way your company decides, project by project, where its data may go. The chat says No model in … yet until then. If you are an administrator of the organisation, choose Choose the models in the chat, or Providers and models on the project in Management; otherwise, ask one of them. A project administrator cannot choose a project’s models.
Why is a model greyed out, under “Not connected”?
Section titled “Why is a model greyed out, under “Not connected”?”It is in the catalogue, but cannot answer from Teloneum yet: Teloneum does not provide access to its provider yet. It is listed so you know it exists. (A model not available in your project does not appear at all.) Choose a model under Ready instead.
Why does a model say “Switched off”?
Section titled “Why does a model say “Switched off”?”Only the owners and administrators of the organisation see it: it is not available in the project they are choosing for - turned off on its own, or its provider is not turned on there. Turn it on with the switch on the model’s card, or turn its provider on from the Providers panel of the catalogue. See Switching providers and models.
Can I use my own key for a provider?
Section titled “Can I use my own key for a provider?”No. Every model answers you through Teloneum, and what you use counts against your usage limits.
Can I change model in the middle of a conversation?
Section titled “Can I change model in the middle of a conversation?”Yes. Pick another model at the top of the chat: your next message goes to it, with the whole conversation so far. Each answer is labelled with the model that wrote it. See Chatting.
Does the answer stop if I close the tab?
Section titled “Does the answer stop if I close the tab?”No. The answer keeps being written and is saved when it ends. Open the conversation again to read it, or to follow it on if it is still being written. Only Stop ends an answer early.
What is the difference between “Certified” and “Self-declared”?
Section titled “What is the difference between “Certified” and “Self-declared”?”Certified means a certificate or a public register backs the claim, and you can usually open that proof from the badge. Self-declared means the provider states it on its own pages, and nobody independent has confirmed it. See Certified, or only claimed.
Does the catalogue tell me where my data is processed?
Section titled “Does the catalogue tell me where my data is processed?”It shows where each model runs, as its provider publishes it, and the country the provider is based in. When a provider does not publish where a model runs, the catalogue says Location not published rather than guessing.
Why are some prices in dollars and others in euros?
Section titled “Why are some prices in dollars and others in euros?”Prices are shown as each provider publishes them, in its own currency. They are not converted, and the price filter compares them as published.
How do the usage limits work?
Section titled “How do the usage limits work?”Your usage is counted over a 5-hour session and a 7-day week, each starting with your first message. Above the message box you see how much you have used, a warning past 80 %, and when you can write again once you reach a limit. See Usage limits.
Can I get a conversation back after deleting it?
Section titled “Can I get a conversation back after deleting it?”No. Deleting a conversation removes it and every message in it for good.
Do I need a separate password for Teloneum?
Section titled “Do I need a separate password for Teloneum?”You sign in on the Teloneum sign-in page, with the account you created there. The app itself never asks for your password. See Signing in.
